What is Life Story Maps?
We are a site that allows you to create a custom poster of a meaningful event or story in your life. You can select up to 3 map locations, add them to a poster, customize the poster to your liking, then order a print of the poster to be delivered to your home!
How do I create a custom map poster?
Head over to our Templates Page and select from one of our pre-built poster styles. There will be pre-built map areas that you can click to open up a Mapbox location selector, type in your location, select a map style, and click save - it's a simple as that! From there you can add in a title and description, then change the colors to your liking.
Can I upload my own images to include in the poster design?
Not yet, we are a very small company (Hello, I'm Jack the owner, and only one who works here, nice to meet you!), but our staff (again just me) plan on adding that feature into the application in the future!
How do I order a print of my poster?
All you have to do is build your poster, make sure everything is to yor liking, then click the add to cart button in the top left. Currently we only offer physical prints of posters, but we are working on offering a digital file download as well!
What are the available customization options for the poster design?
You can customize the location of each map on your poster, the style (color, fonts, etc) from our pre-built map style selector, the title, and description of the poster. As well as whether to show the coordinates below each map of where that location is. You can also add your own custom map markers as pins or text bubbles to add a style of your own. Of course you can customize the color and stroke of everything on the poster as well, style it the way you like!
Can I choose different sizes and materials for the poster?
Currently we only offer one size and material for our posters, but we are working on offering more options in the future!
What is your return and refund policy?
Since all of our maps our custom we unfortunately cannot offer a return or refund, however if your map arrived damaged let us know within 14 days by sending us a picture of the damage and we will dispatch a new one to you!
How long does it take to receive my poster?
Once your order is placed we will have it begin processing and be shipped out in 2-3 business days. Once it is sent out from the facility you will receive an email with shipping information!
What payment methods do you accept?
We currently only accept major credit cards.
Do you offer international shipping?
We currently only offer shipping to the United States and Canada, but have plans to expand this soon.
Can I cancel or modify my order after it has been placed?
Unfortunately since all of our products are custom, you cannot modify or cancel the order after it has been placed.
Can I order posters as a gift and have them shipped directly to the recipient?
Yes! You can enter in the shipping address of the recipient when you are checking out.
